Consulting Agreement
Welcome to Havana Wellness Studio. This Consulting Agreement (hereafter referred to as “The Agreement”) constitutes a contract between DeeAnna Nagel. (hereafter referred to as “The Consultant”) and
(hereafter referred to as “The Client”).
As The Client, you should read this document carefully and raise any questions and concerns that you may have before you agree.
Services: The services provided by DeeAnna Nagel include Intuitive Wellness Consulting conducted in-person or via distant technology (phone or internet).
The purpose of Consulting and intuitive work is to develop and implement strategies to help you reach personally identified goals so that you experience optimal physical, mental and spiritual well-being. Our services may address specific personal projects, life balance, job performance and satisfaction, or general situations in The Client’s life, business, or profession. Intuitive Wellness Consulting utilizes personal strategic planning, values clarification, brainstorming, wellness and life coaching techniques, and other coaching and consulting strategies.
Payment for services is determined by The Consultant and The Client. Payments can be made by credit/debit card (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and AMEX), cash or check. Services must be paid for in advance (online prior to or at the start of the in-person session). Services requested by The Client, in addition to regularly scheduled Consulting sessions, will be billed at the prorated hourly rate agreed upon and will be paid before or after session served. There are no refunds for services rendered.
Feedback: If, at any time, you, The Client, feel that your needs are not being met or you are not getting what you want out of the Consulting, please tell me, so we can discuss your needs and adjust your Consulting program, as needed.
Confidentiality: The Consultant will only release information about our work to others with your written permission or if I am required to do so by a court order. While I am not practicing counseling or psychotherapy, my education, license and certification as a mental health counselor may indicate situations in which I am legally obligated by Federal and State laws to breach your confidentiality in order to protect others from harm, including the following:
(1) If I have information that indicates that a child, elderly or disabled person is being abused, I must report that to the appropriate state agency; and;
(2) If a client is an imminent risk to him/herself or makes threats of imminent violence against another person, I am require d to take protective actions. These situations rarely occur in Consulting practices, but if such a situation does occur, I will make every effort to discuss it with you before taking any action.
Some sessions are conducted via telephone or the internet. You, The Client, agree to maintain the confidentiality of all information communicated to you by other Consulting clients and by your Consultant. It is understandable that progress is often enhanced when clients discuss their Consulting relationship with trusted colleagues and friends. You can have these discussions with trusted colleagues and friends, but you agree not to share any information which would allow others in the group to be identified.
The Client waives any action legal or otherwise against The Consultant and holds The Consultant harmless for any interception of Client information resulting from the use of agreed-upon, non-encrypted technology such as a mobile phone. The Consultant utilizes Jigsawbox, an online encrypted Consulting platform for online written correspondence.
Although Consulting, coaching and psychotherapy utilize knowledge of human behavior, motivation, behavioral change, and interactive counseling techniques, there are major differences in the goals, focus, and level of professional responsibility. Intuitive Wellness Consulting does not replace licensed medical support and should be a complement to traditional medicine and not a replacement. Intuitive Wellness approaches may include but are not limited to Reiki, Aromatherapy, and Energy Medicine. Complementary and alternative modalities are not used to treat, diagnose, or cure any illness. Please know that energy work, including Reiki, can be conducted hands-on, hands-off or via distance. These processes can or may manipulate the energy field. You give permission to receive Reiki (life force) energy from the Consultant, DeeAnna Nagel, via hands-off or distant methods. The alternative modalities I utilize to support optimal wellness do not offer any guarantee of success.
Psychotherapy, on the other hand, is a health care service. Its primary focus is to identify, diagnose, and treat nervous and mental disorders. The goals include alleviating symptoms, understanding the underlying personality dynamics which create symptoms, changing the dysfunctional behaviors which are the result of these disorders, and helping patients to cope with t heir psychological problems. While psychotherapy may be reimbursable through health insurance policies, Consulting services, at present, are not. It is understood and agreed to by The Client and The Consultant that if either of us recognizes that you, The Client, have a problem that would benefit from psychotherapy, I, The Consultant, may refer you to appropriate resources in addition to or in lieu of Consulting.
Affiliate/Distributor Products & Services: In addition to being a Young Living Essential Oils distributor, the products and services recommended on my website or through Consulting materials I use are those that I am familiar with or endorse. They are included because I believe that they may be of interest to you. However, in the spirit of full transparency, I would like you to know that I do receive compensation from some of those products / services that I recommend. You are never obligated to purchase any additional materials or services other than those services already agreed upon here. If you are a member of my Young Living “team” and receive support services at no charge, my role with you is Intuitive Wellness Consultant as we will be discussing educational information related to the Young Living products and lifestyle.
Mutual Nondisclosure: The Consultant and The Client mutually recognize that they may discuss The Client’s future plans, business affairs, customer lists, financial information, job information, goals, personal information, and other private information. The Consultant will not voluntarily communicate The Client’s information to a third party. In order to honor and protect the Consultant’s intellectual properties, The Client expressly agrees not to disclose or communicate any proprietary information about the Consultant’s practice , materials, or methods, or teaching applications, or disparage The Consultant to any third parties or media outlets. The Consultant and The Client agree to be bound by this mutual nondisclosure agreement during and after the termination of the Consulting relationship.

I agree to utilize DeeAnna Nagel’s Intuitive Wellness Consulting services with the full understanding that DeeAnna offers Consulting and guidance and will in no way be responsible or liable for my decisions, outcomes, health, career direction, or success. I also agree to hold DeeAnna Nagelet free of all liability and responsibility for any adverse situations, including slips and falls, created as a direct or indirect result of a specific circumstance, location, referral or advice/support, given during a private session or in a Consulting context. I have also read this Service Agreement and agree to abide by its terms and conditions, and acknowledge receipt of my own copy of this Agreement.
