Yes, your astral spine includes an eighth chakra! Let’s review the sixth and seventh chakras followed by an overview of the eighth chakra. My bonus in this post is a wonderful essential oil blend recipe to keep your higher chakras balanced!
Ideally, your chakras are open, moving energy in and out between your personal energy field and the larger unified field. With proper self-care and maintenance, you can keep your energy flowing and prevent your chakras from becoming blocked by emotional baggage. Journaling, meditation, and working with an energy healer are all good ways to keep these energy centers clear and open, so you can move on to opening the spiritual chakras.
The sixth chakra is associated with inspiration, intuition, memory, imagination, dreams, higher consciousness, and transcendence. But did you know that the sixth chakra is also a gateway to communing with the angels.
On the opposite spectrum from a closed or blocked sixth chakra, an open and expanded sixth chakra offers heightened awareness for greater seeing, possibly even clairvoyance, greater hearing, greater understanding of the world, and a deeper connection to your spirit guides, angels, and Source. When your third eye starts to open and grow, it’s almost like magic. You will begin to see and sense the synchronicity of the universe. Things that would have previously seemed like coincidences suddenly make sense and you realize that nothing is really random—it is all part of the grand design. An expanded sixth chakra allows you to transcend the restrictions of time and space and your personal identity, and gain access to the universal field where all knowledge is stored, and where divine love flows freely. When you awaken the power of your sixth chakra, you receive inspiration, perception, and wisdom beyond your five senses.
The gift of this chakra is experiencing unity and the selfless realization that everything is connected at a fundamental level. The energy of this chakra allows us to experience mystical oneness with everyone and everything in nature. There is no intellectual knowing at the level of seventh chakra, but there is serenity, joy, and deep peace about life. You have a sense of knowing that there is a deeper meaning of life and that there is an order that underlies all of existence. The “way of the crown chakra” is the way of going beyond the limits of your own ego. It is the way of transcending the ego and knowing that all of creation is interconnected at a fundamental level. According to Tantric philosophy, the seventh chakra is both a receiver and giver of energy and consciousness. It receives energy to sustain life and it gives back the personal energy to unite with the collective pool of consciousness. It is the meeting point between finite (the body and the ego) and infinite (the universe and soul).
Soul Star or Seat of the Soul- The first spiritual chakra is located approximately two feet above your head. If you’ve ever seen paintings depicting holy figures with circles of golden light around their heads, you’ve seen a visual representation of the love and light that flows from activated higher energy centers. But this glow is not only available to holy men. Here are the five most important things to know about what activating your 8th chakra can do to help you live a truer, happier life. Transcendence is the key concept.
Your 8th chakra is the doorway between your immortal soul and your earth-bound personality. Your higher self can help you find your true life purpose, and remind you that you are a perfect being made of love and light. Opening your 8th chakra and stepping through the veil that separates your earthly self from your eternal soul will open your eyes to the vast space beyond physical plane boundaries.
